Dr. Dar is trained in the medical and surgical management of a wide range of ophthalmic conditions. Dr. Dar specializes in small incision, no stitch cataract surgery utilizing the most up to date laser assisted technologies to offer the latest premium lens implants including toric, multifocal and trifocal lens implants. In addition to this, he is fellowship trained in Glaucoma and able to treat all forms of glaucoma ranging from mild to severe cases. He performs various Glaucoma laser procedures, a wide range of newer Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgeries (MIGS), and traditional filtering (Trabeculectomy) and tube shunt (Implant) surgeries for more advanced glaucoma. Dr. Dar also sees comprehensive ophthalmology patients.

Dr. Dar completed his residency and fellowship training at George Washington University and Columbia University in New York City, respectively. He was awarded the prestigious honor of serving as Chief Resident during his training. Dr. Dar received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and the University of Minnesota, respectively, in the midwest where he grew up.

Dr. Dar is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Dar also performs international surgical teaching trips to various countries in South America, where he helps teach cataract and glaucoma surgery.

Dr. Dar speaks Urdu, Hindi, and Spanish. When he is not working, he enjoys traveling with his wife and family as well as playing guitar, drums and various sports such as soccer, tennis and basketball.
