After earning his medical degree from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College, where he was inducted into the esteemed Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, Dr. Kang completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Rochester Flaum Eye Institute, where he also served as Chief Resident. His commitment to specialized care led him to pursue a prestigious fellowship in Medical Retina at the renowned Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute, further enhancing his skill in managing complex retinal conditions.
