Dr. Zhang is committed to providing personalized, evidence-based care while utilizing the latest surgical techniques and technology to help patients achieve their best possible vision.

His training was distinguished by early academic recognition, including election to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the Aesculapian Merit-Based Scholarship, and the Dean's Summer Research Fellowship. During medical school, he was actively involved in ophthalmic research, laying the foundation for a career centered on clinical excellence and innovation. He carried this commitment into his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital, where he received rigorous surgical training while continuing to excel academically and as a clinical educator.

Dr. Zhang has special interests in surgical innovation and personalized ophthalmic care. He believes that every treatment plan should be tailored to each patient's unique visual goals, lifestyle, and ocular health. By combining advanced technology with compassionate, patient-centered care, he strives to deliver exceptional outcomes while building lasting relationships built on trust, open communication, and individualized care.

Dr. Zhang is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, exploring new restaurants and cuisines, cooking, and playing tennis and pickleball.
